About this timeline

Time Machine is a community-made timeline puzzle on Timdle, put together by Matthew. It gives you 12 songs to arrange in release order, oldest to newest, one at a time, with one already on the line to anchor you.

Songs with years

There is no multiple choice and no list of dates to pick from: you decide where each card belongs, and you find out whether you were right the moment you place it. A run takes a couple of minutes, it is free, and it needs no account — and when you are done you can see how your score compares with everyone else who has played this timeline.

How to play

  1. 1Play the clip of the song at the bottom of the screen.
  2. 2Drop it between the songs already on the line, by the year it came out.
  3. 3Each placement is checked immediately — a wrong one costs you a point.
  4. 4Place every song to finish the timeline and see your score.
